Ballet and Dance Classes
Whanganui Ballet & Dance Academy offers classes in the following grades:
Pre-School
Educational, exciting and imaginative pre-school classes designed to assist your child’s motor and cognitive development in a supportive fun-filled environment.
Beginners Ballet
At Whanganui Ballet & Dance Academy we support young children as they start ballet by offering technical correction in a warm, friendly dance environment.
Ballet
Graded classes are based on the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing syllabus and Royal Academy of Dance syllabus.
Modern Theatre
Modern Theatre is one of the twelve branches of dancing offered by the ISTD. It comprises of Jazz, Contemporary and Lyrical styles.
Contemporary Dance
Contemporary dance is a fluid, relaxed style of movement that is very ‘grounded’ into the floor
