Billie Dufty

Billie Dufty began dancing from the age of 4 in China and moved to Whanganui in 2017 joining Whanganui Ballet & Dance Academy from 2017 - 2021. While dancing with Anna Chandulal at Whangnaui Ballet, Billie won a national scholars place at the NZSD (New Zealand School of Dance) - travelling to Wellington twice a term from Level 2 ballet to Level 6 ballet.

Billie was involved in Winter school at NZSD from 2019-2022, winning runner up for the scholarship prize in 2021. Billie moved fulltime down to Wellington in year 10 after winning a scholarship to join Chilton Ballet Academy, 2021, dancing full time during school hours as well as studying for UE. While full time with Chilton she moved from being a national scholar to becoming a local scholar student at NZSD dancing after school 3 times a week.

Billie has received distinction with all of her RAD ballet exams completing up to Advanced 1 RAD. She has also being involved in various competitions in Whanganui, Napier, Wellington and Auckland. Billie won a PACANZ nomination from Whanganui competitions society and competed at PACANZ 2022. She competed at Alana Haines in 2023 and at NDC National Dance Competitions in 2023.
